FANGIRLS: UNBEATABLE FRIENDSHIP

They started in June of 2007 and made history in Asia’s entertainment industry. May it be in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore or China, name it, and people will never fail to recognize them. It’s been 2 years. Two years of hardwork, hardships and success. And within that two years, they have built a strong bond between them. A friendship that will continue to stand despite the differences, gaps, hindrances and trials. Meet the FANGIRLS and how they stick with each other!

MC: Annyeong Hasseyo! Honored to have Asia’s top girlband here.

FANGIRLS: Annyeong Hasseyo! Fangirls imnida.

MC: Wow! I always knew you were pretty girls but I never thought you’re this pretty.

TIN: Aiyoooo….

MC: Huh? *everyone laughs*

SUZY: Forgive our maknae. She’s still used to using Mandarin expressions.

MC: Oh I see. *laughs at himself*

TIN: Mianhe! Kamsahamnida ajusshi.

SUZY: Yeah! You’re too modest ajusshi.

MC: I’m just telling the truth. Anyways, before I get starstrucked in here, let’s start the interview.

FANGIRLS: Neh!

MC: So you’ve been together for 2 years already?

SUZY: Actually, we’ve known each other for almost 5 years now. Yan, Lyce and I trained together for 3 years. While Tin joined us two years later. Then we debuted two years ago. To add it all up, the three of us have been together for 5 years while Tin, three years.

MC: Oh I see. *counting his fingers*. Good Math in there. *FG Laughs* So, the three of you are already close when Tin came.

ALYCE: It’s because she still needs to finish some of her contracts in Taiwan. That’s why she was the last one to join the group.

MC: Oh. It’s because you already have your own careers before you became FANGIRLS. I see.

TIN: Neh!

MC: Being the last member to join, did you ever feel that you were left behind. I mean, they’ve been together for 2 years. For a friendship, two years is something.

TIN: NO! Not at all! But at first, yeah! I felt awkward. They seemed very close and have known each since like, forever. And I was also worried If I’d be able to catch up with them. They trained two years ahead of me. More like, I’m still getting there while they’re already going back. But they’ve helped me a lot especially at the time when I was still adjusting and felt like giving up. I was just so thankful they were there. Really! Without their help I wouldn’t be where I am now, most importantly I wouldn’t be what I am now. Kamsahmnida. *started to pout her lips*

G-YAN: Omo! She’ll cry now! I knew that face!

ALYCE: The ever cry baby….

SUZY: Owwwh!! Your always welcome maknae! Although Tin may be the last to join FG, she’s as important as any of the members.

ALYCE: And she’s as crazy as any of us.

G-YAN: Yeah! In fact, she’s the craziest!

TIN: Yah!

MC: *laughs* Really? Can you elaborate more on that FG G-Yan?

G-YAN: I’d rather not! I sooooo love my life! I don’t wanna be eaten alive.

MC: Whooah! Talking about that, have you girls ever get into fights?

FANGIRLS: OF COURSE!!!

MC: Girls will be girls as some say. So, who usually fights? And who rarely fights. And how are they when they fight. Do you girls grab one’s hair and smash one’s face on the floor like the ones we see in movies? Stuffs like that?

G-YAN: Annyeo! We never came to that point! More like mouth to mouth fights! Haha. Hmmm.. I guess when it comes to bashing each other, it’s usually SUZY and ALYCE. They often exchange deleterious words to one another. While Tin and I listen to them with much entertainment!

TIN: Haha. It’s like watching a GAG SHOW. They never get tired bullying and calling each other with ugly names. More like they’re insulting each other face to face!

ALYCE: Of course not!

SUZY: We don’t consider it as a fight though. For me and Alyce, it seems NORMAL! Haha. We show our love for each other in that way! The HARSH way that is.. But I guess it’s more like Tin and Alyce who usually get into fights.

MC: Why you think so?

SUZY: Maybe because they both have strong personalities and that their personalities clash sometimes. They even have same likes and usually laughs at something that we don’t think is funny. And they both think naughty stuffs!

G-YAN: And Suzy as their target of course!

MC: Haha. Oohh.. the leader huh? Why is this so?

TIN: It’s because Unnie never gets angry! She has a very LOOOONNGG PATIENCE! She just raises her hand, and pretends to be mad.

ALYCE: That’ why we love to bully her.

TIN: And that’s why we love her. *smoosshesss*

MC: How about G-YAN?

TIN: We love you too Yan-Yan!!

AUDIENCE: Owww

MC: NO, I mean, you don’t bully her that often?

TIN: Oww..

SUZY: Naaahh! She has the temper! But she’s cute when she’s mad. She talks and talks.

ALYCE: Yeah! She has that mother image sometimes.

TIN: We often bully the dolphin, not her!

ALYCE: In her behalf! Haha.

MC: Who’s the dolphin?

SUZY: Ok, next question please.

MC: Hmmm.. I sure smell something fishy in here. Since we’re getting there, was there a time that you fought over a boy?

SUZY: NEVER! Right Alyce?

ALYCE: Right LEADER-SSHI! NEVER and NEVER WILL BE.

G-YAN: If that happens, I’ll resign as a FANGIRL MEMBER!

MC: whooahh~ seriously?

TIN: Aha! The four of us made an agreement that we will never fight over these three things: first is money!

G-YAN: Second is PROFESSION!

SUZY: There will be no such thing as BANDMATE RIVALRY! A big NO-NO! We are considered as one! And the third one, Alyce?

ALYCE: Third one and the most important of all, We’ll never fight OVER a BOY!

MC: Haha! I like that agreement.. What a lucky boy would he be if two FG members are fighting because of him?

G-YAN: We’ve been through a lot and fought over a lot of things but EXCEPT for those THREE mentioned!

MC: I see. But did you guys ever had a major fight?

SUZY: Yah! Me and G-Yan did. It was because I was getting overprotective.

TIN: Ooh! I remember that. It was the time when a lot of scandals about us were coming out of nowhere.

SUZY: I was getting out of control that time, especially when a “G-yan scandal” came out. Maybe because, I expect a lot from her. She has always been careful with her actions and I never expected her to be in such scandal. I just overreacted that time and everything turned into a major misunderstanding.

G-YAN: We even ended up arguing and shouting. And I could remember Tin crying and crying begging us to stop fighting.

TIN: But they just won’t stop fighting and I ran out of tears…….

G-YAN: Haha!

MC: So how was it settled?

SUZY: We stopped arguing when we noticed that Alyce was not around. She ran away.

TIN: And I found her letter stating “I WONT GO HOME UNLESS YOU TWO WONT STOP FIGHTING”

G-YAN: And that’s how it was settled. We were so worried about her that we forgot about the fighting.

AUDIENCE: woooohh

MC: So, Alyce saved the day.

ALYCE: I guess I did. I just hate seeing my friends fighting.

TIN: But we learned a lot from that incident. And in the end, mistakes won’t count. What matters is the kind of persons we all turned out to be. Wise and beautifully molded by experiences.

G-YAN: So true!

SUZY: It was also a good thing that it happened because at times like that you get to know who your real friends are. Someone who looks at you straight from the heart, without hatred, without judgment, without envy, without prejudice, only PURE ACCEPTANCE and RESPECT.

MC: Very well said FANGIRLS! It’s good to know that you have found strength in each other. It’s hard to find real friends nowadays and you’re lucky you’ve found each other. Hope you’ll continue to give us good music and at the same time inspire us! FANGIRLS! Hwaiting~
